As expected, a good product.

The comfort of it fitting into a small pouch or pocket is a real plus , Compared to an earlier model grip , how ever using it as a grip is a bit awkward , good as a selfie stick , or held in that way. Remote functions seamlessly ( will have to source out battery ) . The tripod is 90% trustworthy ( iphone mini so no issue) . On the whole , this being my second ulanzi product I'm pleased with their make and material , like the attention given to ease of use and functionality , without getting complicated and technical. As this particular gadget and as a brand I'm ready to pay that little extra for the quality .

Much more compact than I had imagined. Minimum compressed dimension is just about 4". Maximum extended dimension is 11-1/4" height, leg folded. With the leg unfolded, the height drops to about 11". The lowest height with the leg unfolded is about 5". A BT remote device is nested at the top of the tripod. Connecting the remote to the phone is simple and straightforward. The remote control uses a coin cell CR 1225. The phone holder mechanism is spring-loaded and can hold a phone well. The holder can be slid up and down and travel a distance of about 3". It can be rotated in landscape mode or portrait mode. I tested the tripod with a Google Pixel 8 Pro and a Samsung S23+. Both phones work with this tripod. The holder could be swiveled to about 225 deg, which is convenient to set up for selfies. This tripod is very compact and travel-friendly. I wish it came with a travel pouch, but it's not a deal breaker.

I bought the tripod version and was expecting a more sturdy tripod. Instead, it was a lot weaker than I would've liked. It can barely hold my iphone 15 at a downwards angle without tipping over and falling which was disappointing. However, it is very compact and good take with you whenever you travel so I guess that's expected.The actual grip does feel very strong and nice though, so that's a plus. This is better as a selfie stick than for filming videos.

Works exactly as advertised! Use this grip with your phone to take better photos and video whether taking selfies or turning the camera around and capture people and places. This is everything you need in small pkg. I especially like the dual cold shoe mounts.

I am a self-admitted Ulanzi fanboy. I think they turn out some innovative, high quality photo and video accessories. This combination selfie-stick and tripod collapses to about 4.5 inches and extends to about 14 inches. The cell phone bracket accommodates my iPhone 11 with room to spare. It has two cold shoes, one on each end of the bracket. Landscape and portrait orientations are achieved by twisting the bracket. The device can be used as a hand grip. In that role, it is one of the most comfortable I’ve used. There’s a removable Bluetooth shutter control (which I’ve had trouble removing so far). The stick can be pulled out to fourteen inches and the hand grip on the bottom unfolds to form a tripod. It’s leg spread isn’t all that wide, so I’d be careful when using it. Overall, this is an extremely flexible and versatile piece of gear as the illustrations on the Amazon page show. It has a small instruction manual with type so small I was barely able to read it with a magnifying glass. Despite this, it’s a great little device.Jerry

This ingenious little tripod/selfie stick has a solid built quality feel to it and looks very well engineered. It is sized perfectly for travel as it is light and takes very little space when collapsed. The extended tripod maybe a bit short for some applications but long enough to be placed on a desk or on a ledge if you're using it outdoors. The ability to move the remote from the top of the handle to to the side is another great idea.The instructions don't cover pairing the remote to your phone but it is straight forward. Just hold the button for a few seconds until the LED starts flashing then pair with your phone. Beware the remote uses an uncommon CR1225 cell battery, so you may want to prepare a spare if you're traveling on a cruise or somewhere remote.My only criticism is that the base/legs is so small that it maybe a bit awkward for people with larger hands to hold it and engage the remote. Otherwise, this is a great and compact travel accessory.

I want to like it more but the location of the trigger button isn't very handy if you don't want to remove it from the handle (most of the time for me).It's pretty sturdy overall but that's not all that hard to do when the telescoping bits are only about 6".Still, there's something to be said for simplicity.

Ulanzi is a company you should definitely follow because they’ve been making some stellar accessories for mobile phone photo/videographers. I’ve got a growing collection of Ulanzi accessories and I’m not ashamed to admit it!This selfie stick/tripod/camera grip combo is so nifty! Not only does it have all that, it also comes with a nice little remote Bluetooth trigger that is removeable.In its closed position, it functions as a camera grip for your phone, which can make it more comfortable to use for longer shoots. Once the remote trigger is turned on and paired with your phone, simply press the button to take a photo or start a video recording while the camera app is open.Folding it open allows you to start using it as a selfie-stick, keeping it short or extending to the full length. And finally, if you kick the little legs out, it also functions as a tripod, allowing you to set your phone on a table to record your next video easily. On either side of the phone clamp there are also two cold-shoe mounts allowing you to attach other accessories like video lights (I recommend the Ulanzi U60 RGB video lights) or even a small shotgun microphone. My usual configuration is one light on either side, and a wireless lavalier microphone.What makes this whole kit even better is that it’s very portable. You can stick it in your backpack or purse along with any other small accessories and you’ve got yourself a whole little mobile studio.Highly recommended!

This is a phone tripod or short selfie stick for smartphones that folds down into a compact size.The tripod attaches to the phone via clamp, so there’s still significant thickness this adds to the phone.The phone clamp is designed to fit in very thick cases but not so great for larger phones. I can barely fit in my iphone pro max when the phone clamp is stretched to the maximum.Also, the clamp appears to be permanently attached and not removable. I was hoping the clamp could be swapped out so that I could use Ulanzi’s own magsafe attachment.Despite the quirks I think this is the most compact tripod & selfie stick solution I’ve seen for phones. It’s possible to fold it down to use as a thick phone grip and then extend or setup the tripod quickly. I think this will be especially handy for travel selfies.

I've been eyeing camera grips for phones for a while now. They're typically $10-$20 more than this is but promise to turn your phone into a more traditional camea-like experience making it more comfortable and steady to hold while taking picture or recording video and putting the button for taking pictures or starting/stopping video in a more natural position.Basically, the idea is to be able to turn your phone into something you can hold and operate with one hand like a traditional camera.This does that and it works great at it, also providing a cold shoe to add external lighting if you want.But that's just it's first trick. By moving the clicker to a spot at the base, you can also extend this out into a selfie stick with remote trigger good for both selfies (obviously) as well as giving you leverage to hold it at say, a height over a crowd in front of you.Additionally, if you take the remote trigger off completely and pull out the legs, it transforms into a small tripod that can allow you to take steady stabilized shots with the remote trigger or to include yourself into group shots with the remote trigger.Products that do each of these things are not hard to come by. Products that combine the tripod and selfie stick aren't that unheard of either but the way this combines that into the camera grip which isn't just an awesome functionality itself but represents a truly compact and discrete form-factor for the other two functions is just really, really great.We were at an INDYCAR race recently and I really wish I'd already had this for some of the areas we were in for that!Having said all of this, there are compromises. The selfie stick and tripod are obviously not the longest, tallest and due keeping the weight manageable as the grip, the stability of the tripod isn't the best since it's naturally top-heavy but given the compact nature and the versatility, I think it's a very reasonable tradeoff.It's like the saying "The best camera is the one you have with you" that people used to use to make the point about the value of phones as cameras (since they go everywhere with you while big cameras and big lenses can't) you could also say the best selfie stick and best tripod are also the ones you have with you and with this thing being small enough to fit in your pocket, i certainly think it qualifies!Lastly, while they don't advertise it as a feature, this also works really great as a phone stand in both the horizontal and vertical positions.
